Lapilla was born from the goal of connecting the classic shape of a bedside lamp with the magnetic paneling of Ronda. The iconic shape of a lamp merges with the walls, creating a unique metallic form. Like incandescent lava fragments drifting in the night sky of a volcanic eruption, Lapilla seems to fly within the microcosm of the panels that host it, assuming constantly new positions and generating unexpected light plays. Magnetism has given rise to a new concept of lighting, where the traditional components—base and lampshade—are no longer connected by a rigid stem but by the power cable, which stands out as a graphic mark against the background, personalizing each wall according to the desired style. Alternatively, the lamp can be paired with circular magnetic cable guides that divide the cable’s trajectory into geometric segments.
